When I taught 8th grade language arts, I often used Dave Barry pieces as great
examples of voice.  However, then all of my students thought "voice" = "funny", so
I added excerpts from Ellen Foster by Kaye Gibbons.  This combo seemed to make the
concept clear to my students.

Any books that are good examples of creating a "voice"?

I love this note that I got from one of my teachers...you can just feel the
enthusiasm for this topic.

would
appreciate if you have any books to suggest. *

What a great example of Voice.
