There is a famous series of videos just like you describe called "I am Joe's Lung,"
"I am Joe's Liver," etc.

They were made in the 70s and reissued in the 90s. I don't know if they are out on
DVD.

But they are exactly what you are looking for, in video form as opposed to book
form.

Subject: TARGET: Anatomy story books

Hello everyone,

A teacher in my school is looking for books on the liver and kidneys but she wants
it to be presented like a story - "Hi, I'm your liver and this is the job I do"
kind of thing. We have nothing like that in our library but I will be going to the
UK next week and am hoping I might find something there (I work in Turkey). If
anyone knows of any titles could you please reply to kate.m.ferguson@gmail.com as I
will not have access to my work email while I'm away.

Thank you all in advance :)

Kate Ferguson
