I have a great opportunity to conduct an inventory on my entire collection as I prepare to move to a new space. The collection is relatively small, approx. 8,000 volumes. My contraints are: 1) my computer also hosts the InfoCentre client, 2) I have only one barcode scanner (not wireless) and, 3) it's just me, no clerk, and some very loyal parent volunteers. I may be able to marshall my team of volunteers to help me conduct the inventory but ideally I would like them to have hand held devices they can use and then I just download their records into my system. I know this is do-able but I could use some sage wisdom on how to approach this task and recommendations on where I can rent or borrow hand helds that are configured for InfoCentre. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Zoe P.
