[LM_NET] TAR: Educational value in A Child Called It

Hello,
I need help. Please. According to one of our English teachers, there is information 
on the NCTE site about the educational value of A Child Called It. I am no longer a 
member, and cannot get in. Would someone please check for me? Or.... if you have 
any other information (other than reviews) about the "worthiness" of this book, 
would you please send it to me? I checked the archives and while there was 
discussion, no published writings about the book were posted.
