Fans of Duck Skates will rejoice that author Lynne Berry and 
illustrator Hiroe Nakata have once again combined their talents for a 
tripping-off-the-tongue rhyming duck adventure.  Illustrated in the 
familiar and completely charming watercolor and ink illustrations 
Nakata employed in the first duck volume, this time the five ducks go 
to the beach, decked out in their colorful swimwear, carrying their 
checked towels, and bringing along a kite for a little swimming 
diversion: Ducks in swimsuits. One with a float. /One with a kite and 
cakes in a tote. /Five with towels-one towel each! /Five little ducks 
on their way to the beach. Read this aloud once and expect to hear 
young listeners chiming in on the second round.  A winner! Suggested ages: 3-6.
