I want to thank everyone for the suggestions: Turn off the firewall. Did you check in the IE preferences to be sure that your settings say "no proxy?" I use Firefox and found I had the same problem but that worked for me. Try settings in IE. It has to do with the proxy setting. I even downloaded Firefox but it had the same issue. I finally found the problem. Under my Network Connections, Wireless Connection/ Properties, Internet Protocol/ Properties, I clicked Obtain DNS server address automatically. Voila!
