Are you interested in ways that you and your students can become global citizens, but not sure if you can afford it, or even have the time to travel abroad? If you're going to be in Chicago for the American Library Association's Annual Conference, come to the program "Global Citizenship: A Role for School Librarians?" on Sunday, July 12th from 1:30-3:pm in McCormick Place West Room W-178b. Members of the AASL International Relations Task Force will be presenting ideas on how you can be involved in international associations like IASL or develop a sister library project. We will also be unveiling the prototype of our toolkit of ideas for promoting global understanding in the school library media center. Johan Koren, Assoc.
