[LM_NET] TECH Improving Quality of Pix Already Uploaded to Facebook??????

I have discovered that Facebook not only shrinks picture uploaded to it, 
it also robs the pictures of their resolution and contrast, making them 
grayer, grainier, and fuzzier than they are on my desktop.
Is there any way to improve the picture quality of photos that are 
already uploaded???
Incidentally, I am dealing with some old b&w photos that I scanned a few 
years ago.........
