Amen to what Marsha said. I often wonder how those of us over 40 grew up at all
considering how little we knew about what could hurt us mentally and physically! I
practically grew up living in the local library and still seem to have most of my
faculties. Watched a tv show on baby proofing a house the other day - among other
things they suggested that you take off the little covers that hold on the toilet
seat ( could be pried off and swallowed) and a whole list of other things that I
had in my house as my five grew up. Most stitches came from running into each other
or stationary objects. They grew up with tons of pre 1985 books and have done more
than quite well for themselves academically. Seem like we ought to worry about real
health threats. I wonder how much time you would have to spend with or chewing on
books ( who is watching you) before you cause damage??? Sorry - retirement is
making me cranky!
