This is information I would love to have as well. I'll think on it tonight
and try to offer some suggestions tomorrow. I would like a hit on this
topic so we can all contribute some but glean a wealth of useful and
engaging lessons for our students.

Subject: TAR: ELEM - picture books with great first sentences

When my K-5 school is back in session, I wanted to start a month-long
project called "Beginnings". One of the things I hoped to do was expose
each grade level to picture books that have GREAT first sentences and
then ask them to write their own. Can anyone help me out with some book
suggestions?
