Greetings!

YALSA President Linda Braun will lead an online chat on taking smart
risks in teen library services on Wednesday, August 5, at 8 p.m. Eastern
in YALSA's space in ALA Connect (http://connect.ala.org/yalsa). Linda
will be joined by members of her presidential advisory task force, who
helped her develop her presidential theme, Risky Business; learn more
about her theme at the YALSA President's Page,

A transcript of the chat will be provided on the YALSA blog at
http://yalsa.ala.org/blog on August 6. To participate in the chat, you
simply need to login to ALAConnect with your ALA member # and password
at http://connect.ala.org/yalsa. You must be a YALSA member to

Beginning with this chat, YALSA will host online chats on the first
Wednesday of each month in its space in ALA Connect. Topics will be
announced on the YALSA Blog. Have an idea for a YALSA chat? Contact Amy
Gelbman, YALSA's program officer for professional development, at
agelbman@ala.org. Past chat transcripts can be viewed at

Please forward to colleagues as appropriate, and thank you for all you
do to serve teens in your communities!
