Tedine, I ran yearbook club for one year and we published a yearbook that covered four years, documenting the inception of our school from the ground up. Selecting a theme, as we did, helped keep the project focused. We sent out a letter asking parents and teachers to gather pictures from previous years, and students took pictures throughout the year--with everything being digital, it should not be too hard to keep pics organized. Putting the yearbook together will also be easier now that most pics are digital. Most yearbook companies have drag and drop template systems that students learn in no time. Some of them are completely online. See Jostens<http://www.jostens.com/yearbook/index.asp>for a demo. Most important, make sure the students do most of the work. A hands on project like this should be exciting for the students and should not take too much effort on your part. Keep it student-focused and student-led and they should take over naturally. Reminds me of a book on my list of to reads, *Never Work Harder Than Your Students & Other Principles of Great Teaching* <http://www.ascd.org/publications/books/109001.aspx> by Robyn R. Jackson.
