I am just going into my second year as a librarian, and have had the charge of relocating the entire junior high library to a new location. As I prepare to put books back on the shelf, I have confronted a questions and look to your guidance. In the past the fiction books have been separated in hardback and paperback, so there are two collections. This seemed unusual to me, but all secondary libraries in my district do that. If I am going to make a change the time would be now. How do you organize your library's fiction section? Do you separate? I seem to think having the collection of fiction authors together is more logical, but I am new to the profession and need help. Thanks in advance and if there are enough returns I will post a hit.
