[LM_NET] Possible flu pandemic

Here are the main points from letters I have received concerning the possible viral 
infections coming our way and ways to prevent them from spreading via the library:
Use disposable gloves when handling return books.Have plentiful supplies of tissues 
placed around the room, and especially close by the area where storytime is 
held.Teach students to keep hands away from face, ears, nose, mouth, and to sneeze 
into the elbow. One suggestion was to gross-out the students to get their

 hand disinfectant close by and use it often. One letter pointed out that 
antibacterial disinfectants, however, will be useless to control viral 
infections.One letter stated that viruses cannot live outside of a host for over 2 
hours, so suggested that books be collected in the morning, allowed to sit 
untouched for at least 2 hours, and then checked in and reshelved at the end of the 
day.Wipe down the incoming books with disinfectant wipes. Wipe down keyboards, 
mouses, table surfaces, shelf markers, door handles frequently with
 disinfectant wipes. The best suggestion: eat lots of fruits and vegetables, get 
good rest, take Vitamin C, and stay healthy!Health and happiness to you all!
