Good morning, I'm looking for lesson plans for picking a "just right book" for kindergartners and first grade. Thinking of buying the "We're Going on a Book Hunt" title. Anyone used this? Also, a teacher once told me about a librarian who used shoes as an analogy for picking a good book. She had students try on different shoes until they found the just right shoe. Does anyone know of this lesson? Also, I really want to encourage students to choose picture books this year. I buy them every year, and use them for read alouds, but all the kids want are "chapter books"... even kinders. Thanks!
