[LM_NET] PLEASE...Read directions for stopping LM-NET for summer!!

Dear Friends,
 
I am a bit baffled by the continued posting to the entire listserv of requests to 
suspend LM_Net for the summer. We teach our students to follow directions, but we 
seem to be having difficulty doing that ourselves.  
 
Our colleagues have posted not just once, but TWICE, the explicit and 
straight-forward directions for temporarily stopping our beloved LM_NET.  It isn't 
difficult.
 
If you want to stop getting LM_Net for the summer, please, please, please...READ 
the DIRECTIONS!!  Here they are:
 
(1)  To change your LM_NET status so that you don't get email over the summer, you 
send a message to: listserv@listserv.syr.edu.
(2)  In the message, write SET LM_NET NOMAIL.
 
When you want to get LM_NET started again in the fall, you'll send an email to that 
same address, and write in the message SET LM_NET MAIL.
 
That's all there is to it!!
