Hi all, Looking for a poem which I can remember the sense of, but not the words or poet. It's about someone about to retire to bed, who is about to leave the room... but just has to fix the fire first so that it is neat. Not neat in the "won't burn the house down" sense, but neat in the sense of straightening it up, despite preparing to leave the room, when no one will be left to see it. I have hunted for this poem all evening, because it expresses something familiar to me. My daughter, ever the jokester, pointed out the irony of searching for said poem just because, given that it's really about making things 'just so' because you like them that way. ;) Thank you collective brain! - Amy Goldsmith Daves Avenue School Library Los Gatos, CA 95030 amy@alumni.princeton.edu -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
