Talk about sticker shock: I've been closely reviewing my magazine subscriptions for 2009-10 renewal to consider titles for discontinuing, etc. Imagine my surprise to see that Sports Illustrated has doubled and Time Magazine has tripled! As it was explained to me, Time, Inc., has decided to enforce their policy of charging higher library rates for school libraries. Have I been under a rock and fortunate to have had Alini Magazine Services delay this until now (did you deal with this in previous years?) or are there others as incensed as I about this? Right now I'm debating cutting off my nose to spite my face, so to speak, and not renewing on principle.
