A parent has contacted me regarding her son who is in 4th grade and
has severe autism. His father just had a stroke and has been in the
hospital for the past week. The child is very distraught and does
not understand where his father is or why he has not come home. The
mother is looking for a picture book to read to him that would help
explain the situation to him. It needs to be very directive, simple,
and visual as the boy just began speaking last year. Does anyone
have any recommendations? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
