Hi all,

I'm teaching summer school for the first time (7th grade LAL) and we're doing 2
books. Hoot and The Outsiders. We're doing these in 23 days.
I've read both books and loved them, but I've never taught them. What the other LAL
teachers usually do is play the book on tape and have the students read along.
That sounds alright but I just want to make it a bit more interesting. I was
thinking of buying Go Teach It lesson plans because they include educational games.
(Normally I'd make these up myself but I start Monday) Obviously, the kids aren't
great readers in the first place. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks!!

PS I won't be in a room with computers, otherwise I'd look for some online stuff
