LM_NET Archive

Someone just called my attention to :
http://www.wolframalpha.com
It is more than a search engine. It consolidates information on one
page... doesn't give you a listing of sites. It is the brainchild of
Wolfram hence the strange name. It is a work in process. Once you
get used to the syntax needed to search, it provides some interesting
information in a clear layout. What is interesting, not only does it
give a nice presentation of the information, it gives a kind of
bibliography at the end. It needs a lot of work (in my mind) but it
should be something we should be following as consumers of
information.
