I don't know what age-group she'd be targeting, but the following
organizations/companies offer ongoing grants for various amounts: LEGO
Group, Coca-Cola Foundation, Northrop Grumman, Bank of America, Target,
NEA Foundation, Washington Mutual, Staples Foundation for Learning,
Allstate Foundation, State Farm Companies Foundation, and Thompson Gale
TEAMS Award.
 
 
There is a TEAMS grant due in June sponsored by Gale/Library Media Connection.

Both Target and Dollar General Stores should have new grant opportunities coming up 
in March. Hopefully that isn't too late!

If the idea is just to go through the process I suggest she try Wal-Mart.  They 
have a simple, small grant available, and most get funded.  She could contact her 
local Wal-mart.
