I reviewed that book in my book Choices: A Core Collection for Young Reluctant
Readers (volume 6) If you can get Ms. Green's wonderful book and Ms. Johnson, you
would be doing a great thing for your students. Ms. Johnson would definitely keep
your students' attention.

Subject: Washington, D.C. librarians - re Maggie "Peanut" Johnson

Is there any school librarian in D.C. who would be interested in inviting
Maggie "Peanut" Johnson to his/her school for a Skype session with my
students in Wilmington, DE? I just purchased a book about Maggie, A Strong
Right Arm, by Michelle Y. Green, illustrated by Kadir Nelson. I'm thiking
that students from each school could have questions for Ms. Johnson about
her days with the Newgro Baseball League and her current activities. I have
Ms. Johnson's phone number and address, not for general broadcastig, but for
someone who would like to work on this. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks!
