 Happy Monday!

Thank you to all who responded to my post about articles/studies in favor of
a full time library media specialist. Unfortunately I'm not sure it made any
difference, but here are the responses I received.

Original post:

Due to major budget cuts in my district my principal is looking to convince
the board to keep a full time librarian. He is looking for evidence to
suuport his cause. Does anyone know of an article or statement from ALA that
argues in support of a full time position?

You're so lucky that you're strongly supported by your principal! :)

Have you checked in Information Power? The state of MN's library media
organization wrote guidelines based on Info Power, and they state that a
full time media specialist and full time library aide be staffed for every
500 students per school building. If you'd like a copy of the MN
guidelines, let me know and I'll see if I can find them online for you.
