Again, just because there are a few idiots out there who are going to do or post 
something stuipid and self-destruct their careers, does not mean that EVERY 
educator, EVERYWHERE should eschew a very valuable resource that actually WORKS 
with the students.

SOME educators have used their homes and cars to conduct illegal sick, liasons with 
kids. 

Does that mean that EVERY teacher should now give up their drivers' licenses and 
homes and live on the streets so they can avoid the appearance of impropriety?

Every group has its share of idiots and sicko perverts. Look at the Catholic 
church. Last I heard, the religion was still going strong. 

One poster here was dissed for admitting she attends student graduation parties.  
As most graduation parties are planned by parents, and invitations are issued by 
said parents, why would this lead to her being sued?  I'm sure she's not attending 
a rave where ecstasy and weed is on the menu.

It has already happened that "some educator" has been charged for an
inappropriate Facebook picture.  See link below.  This is why even though I have
a FB account, I will never "friend" a student, no matter how well I
know them.
