I have a teacher in my building who is interested in exploring the idea of
"informances" as opposed to "performances". An informance is a
demonstration type performance during which the students show how they
learned what they did. An alternate definition is: "a performance during
which information about the process of creating the work is given."

She's asked me to find research on about the pros of having "informances"
for all specials (art, music, P.E.) instead of just music performances.
She's looking for evidence of how informances save valuable curriculum
time and therefore add to the learning.

I've racked my brain, tried every database I can think of, and still NO
luck...any ideas of where I might find a decent hit? Or do you know
anyone who is conducting research on this topic?

Thanks in advance,
