LM_NET Archive

Grade 6 teachers have asked me to read aloud something about the renaissance during
our usual book exchange next week. LM_NET Archives offered a list of juvenile
fiction from 2000 but they're all full-length titles. The read aloud needs to be
appropriate for grade 6 and run around 15-30 minutes. The students come in every
third week, so I can't split it -- they'll be done with the renaissance before I
see the first group again. I'm hoping for a picture book or a chapter or two that
will stand alone well. One colleague suggested Leonardo's Horse, but I'm not sure
if it'll work for this age although I haven't had a chance to read it all.
Opinions? Suggestions? I will post a hit.
