The universal answer seems to be - yes, we can tear up the book and distribute
chapters to different people. Glad to know since I challenged him about making
chapters. Told him that I thought this was an acceptable answer, but wanted to
check to make sure. I will email him today with our collective answer.

Subject: [LM_NET] TAR: copyright question

My pastor wants to use a number of books he purchased in a rather unusual way.
Just checking to make sure we are obeying copyright.

The book has 5 chapters. He wants different groups to read different chapters of
the book. Is it legal for us to tear the books apart into chapters and distribute
them that way? (Is that clear as mud?)
