[LM_NET] Tar: Summer Reading Assembly

I am looking for ideas for a summer reading assembly.
Hello Everyone,

I am looking for ideas for a summer reading assembly.  At the school where I work, 
my principal has charged the special area team( i.e, the art teachers, music 
teachers, phys.ed teacher, and the media specialist) with planning  (2)one hour  
assemblies one for students in k-2 and  another for 3-5 on the days that the 
school dimisses 2 1/2 hrs. early.  I was given June and I have to plan a program 
that promotes Summer Reading.

So far, I have two librarians from the  local public library coming in to speak to 
the kids, but they want classroom size audiences, which leaves me in quite a bind 
as we are a fairly large elementary school.

 I think setting up stations and rotating students in and out  might work to 
alleviate this problem, but I need ideas as to what to do for the other 
stations, during the time when some of the students are listening to the public 
library presentation.  This year's theme is "Express Yourself @ Your Library".  Any 
ideas would be greatly appreciated.
