I may be a little late with this information, but I did get it straight from the horse's mouth so I thought I would share it anyway. Nancy ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: <WAlmanac@rd.com> Date: Sun, May 3, 2009 at 1:20 PM Subject: Re: closing? To: Nancy Dickinson <fsufan23@gmail.com> Many thanks for the note -- I was just about to clarify this on our site (and the WAE folks are doing the same on theirs) but this is NOT the end of the World Almanac itself (or the World Almanac for Kids). We're just beginning work on the 2010 edition in earnest this month... Alternate distribution of the book to school & library markets is still up in the air, but we're working to resolve that issue as quickly as possible, and to come up with a strategy to continue producing the research kits. Best thing to do is keep checking back at worldalmanac.com, or feel free to contact me directly and I'll try to answer any questions you might have. Please pass this information along! Thanks again for your note. ____________ C. Alan Joyce . On a listserv that I use, everyone is in a panic that the World Almanac will no longer be published. Can you clear up the confusion for me? Will the WA for Kids still be published? Will the research kits with blackline masters still be available? Thanks for your help!
