Dear Friends,
 I have the opportunity to work over the summer ( yeah!, sigh), Any ideas for 
lessons during the summer months for grades K-3.
I will post a hit!

We did a bunch of reader's theater when I had summers in the Elementary Library.  
The kids loved it!  They want to be moving around, not just sitting around reading.

I would pick a theme, such as a country, and focus on the clothes, food, music etc. 
that are specific to that country.  The kids could make the food, wear the clothes 
and listen to the music as a long-term project.  It would make the long summer days 
go by a little faster!   :)
