[LM_NET] TAR: 5th grade class science fiction novel

I had a teacher request recommendations for a classroom science fiction novel for 
next year.  Science fiction is not my thing, so I have no ideas.  The class is 5th 
grade so the reading level needs to be probably 4th-5th grade.  Any ideas would be 
welcome.  TIA
