Overview: The Washakie County Library System in Wyoming is seeking a qualified
director for a rural library in Worland, with a branch library in Ten Sleep (area
location description below). Preference will be given to applicants with a MLS/MLIS
degree or BLS/BLIS, and experience working in a library environment, to include
staff supervision and excellent communication skills. Candidates with a degree in a
related field and/or professional experience in administration/management will be
considered. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, within the
range of $35,000 - $45,000 per year. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week).
Benefits include a $3,000/year Health Reimbursement Account (HRA monthly
distribution), and participation in the Wyoming State Retirement Plan with employer
contribution. Additional benefits include paid national holidays, annual paid
vacation (with progressive increases in vacation time offered), and paid
personal/health leave. Plans have been initiated to design and build a new library
within the next four years, and the director will have an active leadership role in
the planning, development, and promotion of this exciting new project.
