[LM_NET] Inventory

Well, it's time again to take inventory. This year I was noticing how much easier 
it was to inventory and weed at the same time because when I came to this media 
center, I changed the location of the barcodes. Anything with the barcode in the 
old location is at least 9 years old and needed to be checked for copyright date 
and condition. Of course anything in ratty condition goes automatically regardless 
of copyright and purchase date. So my little brain got to thinking about how one 
could create a clue to make future weedings less time consuming. Does anyone out 
there date their barcodes? Assign a range for each year? Color code? Any other 
ideas? The different barcode placement made me aware of how much of this collection 
I have purchased over the last few years and how much I have weeded out. Any 
discussion on this might be helpful to people who would weed and inventory if it 
wasn't such a time consuming job.
