I am mentoring a primary-school teacher librarian through a uni course and her next
assignment
requires her to critically compare and contrast three information skills models.
She has chosen the
Australian Information Literacy Process and Kuhlthau's Guided Inquiry but we are
seeking a third
that might have relevance for her future work. She doesn't particularly want to
use the Big 6
(because everyone else will do that.)

So we are trying to determine what else is out there that has a wide application
and could be
considered an original model rather than an adaptation It should not just focus on
ICT. Does
Information Power recommended one particular process?

Below are some of which we have discovered from http://ictnz.com/infolitmodels.htm
(which has a
summary of each plus several more suggestions) but we would like to get a feel for
how widespread
their use is. Any other suggestions (preferably with URLs ) which are applicable
but not
necessarily exclusive to primary (5-12 year olds) would be appreciated.
