[LM_NET] TARGET: SEC: Getting ready for college Lesson Plan

Help!  I need some ideas on a lesson I'm creating on College Survival Skills

I'm hoping someone has done something like this and can give me some ideas.  I am 
planning on doing a 1 day lesson on what to expect in college to several seniors.  
Some of the topics I plan to cover are:

Portals
Library Databases (at our local JC and University)
LC Classification System vs Dewey Decimal System
Using Writing Centers
Tom March's Thesis Builder
Citation Generators

I know I have plenty of content, but I have no plan as yet on assessment or 
activity during the period.  I'll be showing students how these look and work using 
an LCD projector.  Ideas?  Suggestions?

Thanks a lot for your experience or even ideas you are just brainstorming.  I'll 
post a hit if I get responses.
