I received many responses and they were evenly split between the "Yes, it works
like a charm" camp and the "No, it's driving our techs crazy" camp.

On important piece of information I left out of my original query, we are using
AeriesCS, the newer version. With the older version of Aeries it would be much
trickier. But since many people are making it work I have to conclude that it is
indeed possible but it is tricky to set up. A couple of people alluded to problems
with an SQL server and how it interacted with the two databases. And a couple of
people mention difficulties with SFF (or Sif) boxes. I have forwarded the relevant
information to my boss.

Thanks to everyone who answered.

Tony

Subject: [CALIBK12] TECH: Destiny and Aeries daily update

(California LM_NETters please excuse the cross-posting)

Does your district use Aeries for student records/scheduling and Destiny for the
library? Is Destiny setup to get nightly updates from Aeries? Our district tech
department has been unable to configure our systems to update student data. I want
to know if this is something unique to our situation or is there an inherent
incompatibility between the systems.

Thanks,
Tony
