I was asked to post a hit if someone found the title for the book about the boy that went into a mysterious house and talked to a mysterious person who gave him marbles that gave him special powers. Thanks to Maureen Southorn for finding the title. I shared it with the teacher that was looking for it. He was impressed we found it so quick. In fact, He bought it on his kindle today. I think I will get it from Amazon.com and read it too. It looks interesting. Thank you to everyone - Information below. Kathy Burkle LMS Jamestown High School Jamestown, ND I LOVED this book! It's called Christopher, by Richard Koff. It was published in the early 1980s. He goes into a haunted house on a dare and meets a mysterious man called the Professor, who gives him "lessons" that slowly unlock his mind's potential. Each "lesson" starts when Christopher squeezes a cube and unleashes an ability to fly, be invisible, read minds, etc.... It's probably been out of print for years, but may still be in some libraries or available used online. I had forgotten all about this one... I'll have to get it for my son to read. :) ----------------------------------------------- Maureen Southorn K-12 School Library Media Specialist Weedsport Central School District 2821 E Brutus St Weedsport, NY 13166 315-834-6652/6685 southornm at weedsport dot org mksouthorn at hotmail dot com http://www.weedsport.org/webpages/msouthorn/index.cfm Reading: Home: The Boy Who Dared by Susan Campbell Bartoletti and Nonfiction Matters: Reading, Writing and Research in Grades 3-8 by Stephanie Harvey Just finished: True Believer by Nicholas Sparks (not bad; I'd never read this author before) and The Power of Reading by Stephen Krashen (GREAT statistics and research to use as ammunition to encourage adminstrations to drop prepackaged reading programs and allow kids to pick what they WANT to read!) > To all the finders in library land - Please Help! > > > I have a teacher that asked me if I could find the title for a book > that he read in his younger years.
