I loved this book in high school, so it depends on the reader.

Subject: [LM_NET] SEC: Environmental Title?

Greetings, colleagues.

One of my students asked me if I would sponsor Rachel Carson's Silent
Spring for a summer reading project.? That request reminded me of how
much my daughter hated reading that book, and got me wondering what
environmental books are out there now that are as important as Carson's
work.

If you had to recommend a book about the environment that could really
open students' minds and get them passionate about environmental
issues, what would it be?? Thank you.
