On May 8, Joyce Valenza asked on her blog Ever wonder what our Standards for the 21st Century Learner might look like as a graphic? And asked I wonder how we might analyze these graphic representations in pre-service classes or for professional workshops. You can see it here: http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/blog/1340000334/post/1180044318.html<http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/blogger/2694.html> So I was interested in seeing on the SciLinks Blog, Mary Bigelow posted a graphic representation of the National Science Teachers Association position paper on Scientific Inquiry looks like, using wordle http://blogs.nsta.org/SciLinksBlog/archive/2009/05/10/title.aspx (sure is more interesting this way than the original! http://www.nsta.org/about/positions/inquiry.aspx ) <http://www.nsta.org/about/positions/inquiry.aspx> I wonder what it would look like if we took standards from different subjects and put them side by side, along with AASLs? Which words would pop from all of them? -- Rena Deutsch, Librarian Seward Park Campus Schools 350 Grand St. New York, NY 10002 (212) 475-4148 x435 rdlibnyc@gmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
