Liz, Thanks for sharing this list again. As one of the original codifiers of the list, (with lots of input from other LM_NETTERS!) I still use this list for helping my students brainstorm places their books might be. My students have found books in some odd places, thanks to the list (or they told me the odd places and those got added to the list!), but I never thought I'd see the day when I'd get a return from #18 - "fell behind the refrigerator!" I mean, really, who puts a book on top of a refrigerator, of all places? Well, apparently some people do - because behind the refrigerator was where one of my students found theirs the other day! I've also had returns from #25 - 28, and the return from #25 was AFTER A MONTH - Ugh! And from the daughter of a library aide at another site no less! So now I remind students NOT to fall asleep with books in bed - plunk your backpack down next to the side of the bed, and be sure your library book gets back in it before you drift off! 25.
