Are any of you familiar with this website? I'm thinking of
incorporating
it into our summer reading program. Any thoughts on your experience
with
this website would be appreciated. Thanks, Kristina

Subject: TAR: Elementary Short Story

Good morning! I have had a request for a story that my principal read
in t=
he fifth grade, almost 30 years ago. It is about a girl who always wore
a =
ribbon around her neck. A boy constantly asked her why she wore the
ribbon=
, but she would not tell him. Finally after many years they are married
an=
d she asks him if he still wants to know why she wears the ribbon around
he=
r neck. He says yes, so she takes off the ribbon and her head falls
off. =
Does anyone know the name of the story or what book I can find it in?

Thank you!

I have a question and would like your opinion. I have a colleague who =
is thinking of retiring and I am planning on retiring at the end of this
=
school year. We would like to know if there is any reason why we should
=
no longer be on LM_Net once we are retired. True, we would not be =
currently in a library position, but we both find the list very =
interesting and I know I feel as though all of you are friends and =
family. I also feel that, with our years of experience, we could still =
be helpful.=20

Any thoughts? Is there any constraints on those who are no longer in a

school position?

I know I intend to do some volunteering, and since I have a grandson in
=
school, would like to keep abreast of what is happening in schools.=20

Anyone have the answers to our concerns? =20

Please respond to me personally and I will be glad to post the list if =
there is interest in the results.=20
