I have submitted my letter of retirement to Sackets Harbor C.S, a K-12
school (475 total enrollment)l with one building and one library/library
media specialist. There are flexibly scheduled elementary classes and a
strong history of collaboration with teachers. The library is automated with
Follett Circ and Catalog +, has about 10,000 volumes and was recently
renovated. We have a Promethean Board in the library and 25 laptop
computers.

I have been at Sackets for 30 years and it is a bittersweet decision to
retire, but I have so much I want to do in other areas. Sackets Harbor is a
beautiful village right on Lake Ontario. In the summer it bustles with
tourists who come for the strong historical heritage as well as the numerous
gourmet restaurants. Our students are just great kids and we have a strong
history of being academic leaders in the area as well as sports champions.
