We are a nonpublic school and we have problems with finance system. I need input on improving the ordering of materials for our library. I use a PO when ever possible. But there are companies that do not offer PO's but offer great savings. I have been using my charge card to purchase from such companies but I do not get reimbursed quickly-sometimes over 3 months. The PO is sent with the receipt to the treasurer of our school board. The school board sends PO and receipt to finance chairman. The chairman sends PO and receipt to bookkeeper. Bookkeeper sends PO to treasurer to write a check. There are too many loop holes and I have been asked to present ideas to make the system work. Any ideas?
