Step One: Import your Pictures
Click Start, click on All Programs, click on Accessories, click on
Windows Movie Maker
In the Movie Tasks pane under Capture video, click Import Pictures.
Browse to the folder with your pictures.
You can select individual pictures by holding the Ctrl key and clicking
each picture.
When you’ve selected your pictures, click Import.
Quick movie:
In the Movie Tasks Pane, under Edit Movie, click Make an AutoMovie.
Puts your pictures into a movie, creates a default title, adds a blank
set of credits.
After creating a movie, RIGHT click both the title frame & credits
frame & click Edit Title
Then skip to Step 6 to narrate your slide show & Step 7 to save it as a
movie.
Step Two: Add Your Pictures to the Storyboard
Click and hold and drag a picture from the Collection to the storyboard
at the bottom of the window.
In the Storyboard, you can click and drag to change the order of your
pictures.
Step Three: Add Titles and Credits
In the Movie Tasks pane under Edit Movie, click Make titles or
credits.
Choose where to add the title
Choose the style for your title screen
Step Four: Add Transitions
In the Movie Tasks pane, under Edit Movie, click View video
transitions
Drag the video transition to the cell between 2 pictures on the
storyboard
Step Five: Adjust the Timeline
Click Show Timeline above the storyboard.
To make the picture stay on the screen longer, select the picture, and
when the pointer becomes a
red arrow, drag the picture’s right border to the right.
Step 6: Add Sound
To add music: Click Import Audio or music
Follow prompts to Add an audio file
To add your own voice to the slide show: Click Show Timeline above the
storyboard
Click the timeline where you’d like your voice-over to start.
The button that looks like a microphone is Narrate Timeline
Click this button and the screen will switch to show your narration
controls.
Click Start Narration. The slideshow plays as you talk: you can see the
picture you’re talking
over.
When you are finished, click Stop Narration and save your recording
Step Seven: Save and Send your Video
In the Movie tasks pane under Finish Movie, you can choose to save the
slide show to your
computer (highly recommended), send it through email, send it to the
Web, burn it to a cd, or send it
to your digital video camera
