I am in classrooms every morning trying to get books from students due last week. So I ask a 3rd grader about his books, and he says he doesn't know what books he has checked out. I can see on the white board under his name the titles of the 2 books his teacher has written on the board, (thank you teacher) plus I have killed 2 and 1/2 trees sending home notices with him. grrrrrrrrrrrr I say, what are we going to do about it. I should not have used the pronoun we. He responds, "You can call my grandmother and tell her to bring them to school. I think her number is ....." I laugh, I cry.. Thanks for listening, Jo :) Currently Reading Code Talkers by Joseph Bruchac Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle Jo Sorrell Mabel School Zionville, NC Home Boone, NC joturrentine@yahoo.com Wag More, Bark Less -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
