One of our English teachers was asking trivia questions to her class, and I questioned the answer to her question. She said that in the past, library books were shelved with the spine labels facing to the back of the shelf instead of to the front. Has anyone ever heard of this? If you have, can you share the rationale? I must have fallen asleep in library school that day! Thanks!
