I have one of these scanners I was going to use to help with inventorying my library tomorrow (yes, Saturday, and I have the best sister in the world to assist me!). Problem is, I can scan my library barcodes with it, but it won't automatically enter them in Destiny. I skimmed the table of contents of the user manual available online, but didn't find anything that would help. Usually when I use a scanner with Destiny (I have the 3800 purchased directly from Follett), I don't have to hit "enter" on the keyboard or the little "go" button on my screen; this scanner is making me do that. It would be a huge consumption of time if I had to scan even 50 books and press "go" after each scan! I don't have access to one of their "intelligent" hands-free stands, so I'm wondering if anyone out there might have any suggestions? I just tested this on my MacBook at home, but we have PC/Windows laptops at school; I can use either if I can just get the scanner to cooperate! Bless your heart if you are reading this on the weekend! :) Thanks, ~Ann Carstens Holy Family Catholic High School Victoria, MN carstensa@hfchs.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
