[LM_NET] HIT: adding award nominees to MARC records

In Illinois we have several state book awards: Monarch, Caudill, and Lincoln.  I 
would like to indicate in some way through the MARC record that these books were 
nominees.  Here are the results I received:

I use Follett and set up a new category under circulation and use that.

I just checked a few more of my MARCs and found that there is an Awards Note field 
"586". I suppose that would be the best place to put Monarch in.

I don't have Monarch in my MARC records, but I checked and my Caldecotts are in the 
"Review Note" section, field 510 0 a , so I would recommend you put it there. It 
will allow students to type in "Monarch" in the search box and have them come up.

If you have Destiny, you could do what I did. I created a Monarch category with the 
Monarch logo attached and created a "Visual" search for my primary students. They 
use it all the time!
