Hi everyone! My name is Neha Dhruv, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois. As I finished my MLIS, I was laid off! (Budget cuts, what to do). I am going crazy sitting at home. I have taken up sewing and quilting (See more @:Its' Thread Not String <http://itsthreadnotstring.blogspot.com/>) and finally decided to move all my boxes (books and books and more) into storage, just because after looking and bumping into it for the past 6 months, I can't look at it anymore! So, I was wondering if anyone is in the Chicago area and needed a Elementary School Library Media Specialist, Elementary School Teacher-Librarian, Elementary School Librarian, a library aide, a teacher's aide, or a volunteer in your elementary school library, lol, or just need some help with books or teaching, CONTACT ME! =) I can send a resume to those that are interested, but, basically, until last June, I was the elementary school librarian at a busy urban Chicago Public school serving about 500 students in grades PreK - 8th. I worked full time and worked on my MLIS at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign full time as well. Before that I worked at a public library in a Chicago suburb, as I worked on my BA in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I did all of my elementary education degree work in Chicago Public schools. I am used to be being busy and productive, and am getting a little antsy sitting around =) If anyone has any ideas, or offers, please let me know. Please email me @ nehadhruv1@gmail.com.
